  1. Daily areas of responsibility
    1. Maintains organized equipment staging area as well as maintain the cleanliness of the yard and shops.
    2. Able to use pressure washing equipment to clean construction equipment to standard of Equipment & Repair Coordinator in a timely manner.
    3. Provide required assistance to Warehouseman, Purchasing andMechanics as needed within technical abilities and training.
    4. Able to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
    5. Performs daily inspection of shop equipment and vehicles assigned to shop.
    6. Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined storage assignments and maintains good housekeeping within the warehouse, yard and office facilities.
    7. Drives company vehicles to delivery and pick up freight when needed.
    8. Ask for assistance with any unfamiliar situation
    9. Adheres to hazard and safety precautions of the mechanical trade; wears personal protective equipment as required.
    10. Performs other duties as required.
  2. General expectation to perform duties within the department and company:
    1. Must be able to work independently and/or with others in team environment.
    2. Communicate effectively, be honest, dependable, and display positive attitude.
    3. Able to work on time and complete a standard five-day schedule with occasional overtime and weekend hours as needed.
    4. Meet all eligibility requirements to drive company vehicle when needed.
    5. Promotes awareness of and follows company and general safety policies.
  3. Additional responsibilities to be assumed.
    1. Ability to learn to operate other forms of equipment safely for the purpose of testing in shop and arranging ready line of equipment in the yard as directed by the Equipment Repair and Maintenance Coordinator.
    2. Effectively cross-train to perform all functions noted above.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.
  1. High school graduate or equivalent
  2. Warehouse, manufacturing, equipment or construction labor experience is helpful.
  3. Computer literate.
  4. Mathematical skills to calculate measurements using a measuring tape and to calculate quantities of materials as needed for jobs.
  5. Able to read and understand work orders and other work-related documents and forms.
  6. Valid Hawaii driver’s license and favorable traffic abstract.
  7. Able to operate forklift
  8. Able to work flexible hours, necessary.
  9. Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally.
  10. Geographical knowledge of the island and ability to roadmaps.
  11. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
