PRINCIPAL DUTIES
  1. Work with accounting/finance, technology and business leaders to identify and implement improved business processes and operations by identifying technological improvements, process automation opportunities and new financial systems enhancements.
  2. Create and implement process improvements which include testing, validating and documenting change process.
  3. Develop and manage business-based project deliverables (scope, time, cost, resource, and quality requirements), including facilitating project meetings; Ensure efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones, communicating and driving the resolution of issues
  4. Partner with stakeholders to identify key business information and reports needed to help drive business goals; Understand business needs, efficient methods of pulling and linking source information, and translate into the development and implementation of key business reports in Vista to help track and manage business performance
  5. Manage and execute change requests in the accounting and financial reporting systems, including but not limited to the creation of cost centers, organizational changes/realignments, etc. to support changes in business.
  6. Develop and maintain system documentation and templates to support business users.
  7. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for business users.
  8. Identify user roles appropriate to job duties which will be implemented by IT.
  9. Oversee finance systems, development, enhancements, and business requirements.
  10. Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
  11. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  2. 5 years of experience in accounting and/or related work experience; preferably in Construction.
  3. Have a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Knowledge of internal SOX compliance preferred.
  5. Expertise with the enterprise accounting systems/applications. Preference for experience with Viewpoint Vista, Cognos TM1, Cognos Controller, FAS.
  6. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Microsoft SQL, Crystal Reports preferred, Spreadsheet Server preferred. 10 key by touch.
  7. Strong analytical and organizational skills to interpret business needs and translate them into application/operational requirements to be implemented.
  8. Ability to prioritize multiple project tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet goals and meeting deadlines.
  9. Effective communicator at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence others.
  10. Strong problem resolution skills, and a high degree of integrity, tact and diplomacy.
  11. Strong written, oral and presentation skills.
  12. Excellent math skills to review and analyze financial data and perform calculations related to daily tasks.
  13. Able to read and understand financial forms and technical documents.
  14. Valid Hawaii driver’s license and clean traffic abstract.
