PRINCIPAL DUTIES
  1. Collecting, verifying and reconciling of timesheets.
  2. Ensure compliance with Union Contract terms.
  3. Calculate wages, hours, benefits, tax withholdings, deductions, etc.
  4. Responsible for the preparation, processing and distribution of paychecks.
  5. Initiating and responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
  6. Prepare periodic payroll reports.
  7. Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
  8. Coordinating with the HR department to ensure correct employee data.
  9. Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
  10. Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations.
  11. Providing administrative assistance to the Accounting Department.
  12. Preparing financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.
  13. Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management.
  14. Prepare monthly OCIP reporting, Union Trust Fund/Pension reports and Labor Statistics.
  15. Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
  16. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. High School Diploma, Accounting degree preferred.
  2. 2 years accounting experience, preferably in payroll in the construction industry.
  3. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email. Aptitude to learn in-house systems. Keyboarding skills sufficient to complete daily tasks in a timely manner. 10-key, by touch desired.
  4. Strong mathematical skills to produce accurate calculations for payroll.
  5. Good reading skills required.
  6. Valid Hawaii driver’s license and favorable traffic abstract.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  8. Detail orientated and ability to observe confidentiality with sensitive information.
  9. Able to work flexible hours, as required.
