  1. Reviewing or approve project costs transfers.
  2. Reviewing or approve project costs/revenue accruals.
  3. Reviewing or approve project costs calculations.
  4. Manage and update project costs allocation methodology.
  5. Assists in preparation of Percentage of completion calculation(s).
  6. Ensuring all accounting entries are timely, accurate, and properly supported and in compliance with GAAP.
  7. Assists with analysis and evaluation of financial and operating variances and reporting of variances to management.
  8. Analyzes and evaluates financial and operating variances and reports variances to management.
  9. Assists in the preparation or review of reconciliations of certain accounting system balances.
  10. Assists in the documentation and monitoring of internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  11. Supporting internal/external audits, including providing requested supporting documentation and acting as a liaison between the department and the audit teams.
  12. Performs special project assignments, analyses, budgets, forecasts and special reports as requested or assigned by management.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
  14. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
EducationBS/BA degree in Accounting, or equivalent is required. A CPA certificate and/or graduate business degree and accounting software experience is desirable.
ExperienceTwo to three years of experience in accounting and/or related work experience is required.
Computer SkillsAccounting software experience is desirable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

CommunicationStrong written and oral communication skills.
ReadingAble to read and understand financial forms and technical documents.

  • Ability to continually review, refine and/or improve the accounting records, internal controls, procedures, reports as appropriate.
  • Stay current with respect to the latest changes and developments in accounting principles.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple project tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet goals and meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls SOX compliance preferred.
  • Strong problem resolution skills, and a high degree of integrity, tact and diplomacy. Must be at least 21 years of age.
