PRINCIPAL DUTIES
  1. Maintains Human Resources files in accordance with department procedures and legal requirements.
  2. Processes Position Requisitions and maintains internal and external job postings, including on state job boards and with required outside agencies.
  3. Handles dispatching for BU position with respective labor union.
  4. Inputs employee data in a timely manner to ensure appropriate maintenance of electronic and personnel files. Responsible for managing applicant tracking and dispositions. Handles inquiries for employment verification.
  5. Responsible for coordinating employee ETF’s for employee life-cycle (hiring, promotion, merit increase, termination) and other misc. changes. Responsible for scheduling and coordinating exit interviews.
  6. Interacts with applicants to coordinate pre-employment requirements (including drug tests and driving abstracts) and reviews new hires, promotions and transfers for appropriate paper work.
  7. Prepares new hire packets and ensures adequate supply of employment and/or benefits related forms; assists with coordinating, preparing material and conducting new hire orientations.
  8. Manages the HR portion of the employee on-boarding experience, including responsibility for drafting and sending employee new hire announcements, ordering business cards/nameplates and ensuring new hire checklist is completed.
  9. Assists with facilitating drug testing logistics as required by the Director of Employee and Labor Relations.
  10. Attends Job Fairs and assists with the coordination of employee training and special projects (Aloha United Way, Ohana Fest, community fund-raising events, etc.).
  11. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
  12. Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies. Assists with Random Drug Testing at various company facilities/locations.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related major
  2. 2+ years Human Resources and/or complex administrative support experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
  3. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email; aptitude to learn in-house systems
  4. Keyboarding skills sufficient to complete daily tasks in a timely manner. 10 key by touch desired
  5. Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations
  6. Ability to read and interpret legal documents, government regulations
  7. Ability to produce organized, clear, grammatically correct written communications
  8. Ability to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality
  9. Excellent interpersonal/organizational/documentation skills
  10. Must be at least 21 years of age
