POSITION TITLE: Foreman I – Carpenter-Mold Shop

REPORTS TO: Plant Superintendent

  1. Provides general support for the Assistant Superintendent – Carpentry/Mold Shop.
  2. Teaches others about form materials and procedures and oversees and assists co-workers in the shop.
  3. Transfers shop drawings and corresponding designs for mold fabrication, ensuring designs and measurements meet exact drawing specifications.
  4. Builds forms for the production of standard and custom pre-cast concrete products using a variety of air and electric power tools as well as other small hand tools.
  5. Assists in activity required for off-island projects, as needed.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.
  7. Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
  8. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
  1. High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  2. 10 years of carpentry experience; 5 years of mold building experience.
  3. Good mathematical skills to measure / calculate angles / calibrate specifications for daily tasks.
  4. Ability to comprehend and effectively execute production drawings; ability to read and comprehend basic work-related documents.
  5. Certified for department-specific equipment.
  6. Certified for First Aid, CPR and forklift.
  7. Excellent interpersonal/organizational skills.
  8. Communication skills to effectively interact with co-workers at all levels.
  9. Proven leadership ability in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  11. Able to work independently and function as a team leader.
  12. Work flexible hours/travel to neighbor islands/on-call/nights.
  13. Must be at least 21 years of age.
