JOB INFORMATION
POSITION TITLE: Construction Yard Attendant
COMPANY: G P Roadway Solutions

REPORTS TO: Superintendent

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
  1. Operate a forklift to load and unload construction materials to and from flatbed trucks.
  2. Organize construction materials in the yard.
  3. Inventory construction materials when shipment arrives.
  4. Take loads of materials to local shipping vendor. Pick up loads of materials from shipping vendor.
  5. Prepare, fabricate, and pack materials for upcoming projects.
  6. Receive and check in material shipments from vendors / suppliers. Advises supervisor of low levels of construction materials.
  7. Prepare future orders. Up to and including the pulling of the necessary construction materials as needed for upcoming projects.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.
  9. Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
  10. Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. 1 year warehouse experience preferred. Forklift certified preferred.
  3. Good reading skills.
  4. Good writing skills.
  5. Valid Hawaii driver’s license and favorable traffic abstract.
  6. Excellent interpersonal/organizational/documentation skills.
  7. Able to work independently and meet deadlines on a consistent basis.
  8. Able to work flexible hours.
  9. Ability to regularly lift 60 pounds.
  10. Must be at least 21 years of age.
